About the Role
Design and build the backend services that power Eazyway's referral and hiring platform, handling millions of requests and ensuring reliability at scale.
As a Backend Engineer, you'll work on core APIs, data pipelines, and microservices that form the backbone of our product, collaborating with frontend engineers and data teams to deliver seamless experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
- Build and optimize database schemas and queries for performance
- Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices
- Develop event-driven architectures and message queuing systems
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests
- Collaborate with frontend engineers on API contracts and data models
- Monitor system health and troubleshoot production issues
- Participate in architectural design reviews and technical planning
Qualifications
- 3+ years of backend development experience
- Proficiency in Node.js, Python, or Go
- Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Nice to Have
- Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Experience with caching strategies (Redis, Memcached)
- Familiarity with observability tools (Datadog, Grafana)
- Contributions to open source projects
- Experience in startup environments
